My Hate Hate Affair With Bio Chem 2

Our bio chem hod was Dr Ranade , a tall man who couldn't speak clearly.Once i remember one of my friends sitting on the 1st bench for his lecture , i was of course there for the sake of the attendance relaxing comfortably on the last bench.At the end of the lecture i asked my friend what did sir teach , he said i couldn't understand what he was saying , the only thing i understood is what he was teaching was something related to enzymes.In bio chem they gave a lot of importance to the journals , unfortunately for me the lecturer to whom i had gone to get my journal signed before the preliminary examinations signed only half the journal and refused to sign the remaining part writing LATE in huge letters there .He started mentioning some new rule where my journal cant get signed coz my attendance was less than what was required which was again a result of being thrown out of a few practicals coz of missing the previous one.So with an unsigned journal i went for my prelim viva where our good ol hod was taking my viva.I was doing pretty well in the viva when the lecturer [ i think his name was dr patil ] decided to make his presence felt .He interrupted my viva and went and told the hod that i have a partially signed journal thus terminating my viva there and then.Unfortunately for me our HOD Dr Ranade chose me as the victim to release all the frustration that was built inside him from years of teaching a dull drab subject like bio chem.And before long i heard the slogan of the bio chem dept , "take Ur bag and get out". As soon as i stepped out of the lab my journal also joined me , someone threw it out of the lab and it came and landed right in front of me ,the new cover which i Had so lovingly put on it the previous night torn at multiple places .As i was picking up my journal , one more journal got flung outside the lab followed .The owner of that journal followed it outside but i guess after hearing the famous slogan of the bio chem dept "Take Ur bag and get out ."

Well the bio chem dept in bharati vidyapeeth college is one of the most wierd places you will ever see , at least in our time it was so.We had an HOD who couldnt speak clearly and during practicals we had a set of teachers who tok the utmost pleasure in shouting at the students.I had a lot of funny incidents with the bio chem with me at the receiving end.We use to have this revision practicals in bio chem towards the end of the semester where we would do revision practicals and there would be a viva on some topic for each student.I had missed the 1st revision practical and showed up for the second as the topic for that was one of the few topics i was confident about in bio chem.I was performing the experiment and awaiting my turn for the viva when suddenly one of the teachers started calling out my roll no.When you hear some one screaming your roll no in a bio chem dept most often than not it is a bad omen.Well in my case the teacher told me to pick up my bag and leave as i had bunked the previous revision practical , they had decided to throw me out for this one also.The teacher was Dr Punekar someone who i think had some military genes as she was really good at shouting .Well i picked up my bag and left the lab and was walking down the stairs abusing the biochem dept in every possible way in my mind when the peon , i think his name was gosawi or something came running behind telling me that the teachers were calling me back to the lab.I was a bit suprised and quickly prayed to god to pardon me for the curses i was mumbling a minute ago and was thinking well even the bio chem dept people have a heart after all as i went back to the lab.As soon as i entered the lab , dr punekar barked at me to go to my table and clean up the test tubes and other stuff i was using for the experiment.I went and did what she said and was wondering to what to do next , when again she barked at me to take my bag and get out of the lab .There i picked my bag and off i went mumbling more and more curses at the bio chem dept.

The Title

Well it was today afternoon when i met adi for lunch we decided to start a blog to relive the funny moments we had during our MBBS.Both of us will be the 1st to admit that getting through these mbbs in bharati was a big torture and we are relieved to get out of this god forsaken place forever.But every time we meet we end up recollecting some funny incidents we experienced with our batch mates during our mbbs and thats in the long torturous time in bharati medical college there were some really memorable and funny incidents which we will keep remembering for our entire life , we intend to post them on this blog as we recollect them , some of them are realted to us , some to our batchmates , hopefully all the people . especially our batchmates who will read them will enjoy reliving them again through this blog.About the title , 99 percent of the people in our college and especially our batch had the sole aim of getting the required 50 percent in theory and practical exams so that they could clear the exam [ 50 is the minimum required in mbbs exams] , two or three months before the exam all of us were obsessed with that idea of getting that magical 50 percent so that we could get one more year of mbbs out of the way , so i thought "Aiming to get 50%" would be the ideal title for this blog .
